When can I repot my jade/Crassula propagations? I propagated a ton of sunset jade leaves and they’re starting to sprout so I’m super excited! I want to put them all in their own little pots to share with friends, but I’m worried about disturbing the roots before they’re ready. Does anyone know when a good time to repot them would be? Should I wait til the original leaf is fully shriveled up? Do I bury the leaf in the new soil?

You don’t have to wait until the old leaf is completely shriveled up. And I wouldn’t bury the old leaf because it might start rotting. Right now, it is the lifeline to those baby plants. Even once they make roots, they keep sucking up nutrients from that leaf until it’s depleted. You can just leave them where they are until the plant is maybe a half an inch tall. Then you can carefully scoop up the baby plant and the dirt underneath it to put in a small pot. I usually use those little 2 inch pots that the smaller succulents originally come in from a big box stores, or whatever small pot you have will work. Remember, the roots are really small, so they can only suck up so much water at once. Awesome job propagating! They’re so cute! I love the little plantlets!❤️

After they are big enough to transplant, you can transplant them with their leaf if it’s still there.😊
