I had a rather bulky snake plant w/lots of pups I needed to separate. Ive never had success with propagation (soil or water). Any suggestions? In Ohio Zone 6 (they are inside).

I separated my jumbo snake plant, just cut it through the root system, ensuring that each separate plant had its own portion of developed roots. I then plopped them in well draining soil mix. It takes a LONG time before they start growing well. They need light and time really. Cold windows slow them down bad. But after like 6 months, they all started pushing new leaves and pups of their own. Some of the them did get sick and killed some leaves, but primarily they did well at the 6 month mark. I live in Ny and am also zone 6a.
