Buckolena

Was “gifted” several propagations about a week ago and I just got to plant another one. I forget it’s rightful name but I do know it’s called a purple inch plant. ❤️❤️❤️

From what I’ve since learned you are correct. Apparently it is one of those plants with several names and yours is one of its more proper names. ❤️ Thank you! ❤️

Tradescantia zebrina!! There are a dozen different species but honestly they all look the same to me, because they grow more green/purple depending on the light you give them. There are some with pretty white veregrations though. Theyre my favorite plant to recommend to beginners! Theyre a vining plant that are great at growing roots. They loveee to be propagated, and bounce back quickly from root rot. You HAVE to prune them once they get so long, or theyll grow so long they cant handle their own length.

Yeah I’m going to have to prune them now and propagate all of the pieces because the pieces I received are too long to support themselves.
