attempting to propagate my succulent after its stems started blackening - cut off the seemingly healthy part of the stem and now waiting for ends to callus- this is what it looks like after 2 days: the ends now look black inside, is it just dead now?

Two days is plenty. It doesn’t look dead to me. Just calloused like u want. I would just set them on the soil now. They will grow roots easily. Then plant them. OR, u could chop it again in the middle of each node stem that is bare and end up with lots of babies that would make a pretty full plant in the future! OR (lol), u could put each strand on top of soil and pin them down with paper clip pieces. Works like a charm.

If your concerned the fungal is in those too. You could clip again woth sanitized shears, and dip in peroxide. Then leave to callus over.
