My cuttings are rooting š When would be the best time to transfer them back with the rest of the plant? And should I change the water? Sheās been in this water for 4 days.

1 likeYes, definitely wait for some secondary roots!
2 likesI like to leave mine in the water and just fill it a little if needed. I have read that the plants put off rooting hormones and if you are constantly changing the water you are loosing some of the natural rooting hormones. Full disclosure I am very new to this .
2 likesOh and if you have any Pennieās that were minted prior to 1982 you can put one in there. Itās 100% copper and will help fight algae and keep the water clean
2 likesA good rule is to have roots that are just as long as the plant is tall. The roots not only provide water but also support to hold it up. Typically 1 month in water is a good time frame. Only change the water if you see a lot of cloudiness, algae, or gunk in the water but definitely top it off frequently - at least once a week. I never pot fresh props with an established plant because their water intake will be different. Propagation generally need much more water and wet soil the first 2 weeks to a month in soil. That could cause your other plant to be over watered. Add them to the other plant about a month after they first go to soil.

0 likesWhen the roots have roots, the plant is ready for planting. That goes for pretty much any water propagation.
