Has anyone had any luck propagating haworthia cooperi? Mine keeps making pups but they keep withering and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

I wait until the pups are like 1/3-1/2 the size of mom and try to steal some of moms roots when I take the pup out

Ahhhh okay, I haven’t been waiting. Or taking any of mom’s roots. It just keeps getting so many pups popping up everywhere. This is after I’ve already cleared her of any.

I think you can do it the way you’ve been trying but it sounds a lot harder 🤣. Your mom plant looks great!! So far (knock on wood) I haven’t lost any pups that I’ve taken some roots from mom.

Haha thank you! I’m inexperienced with succulents. But I love this one! I think I’m going to take your advice. I’m just so afraid of hurting mom haha.

If you take it early without roots, it needs to be kept on moist soil to encourage root growth. It can be done. It’s just a lot more observation time. Kades size suggestion makes it a whole lot easier.
