I'm not sure the leaf can be saved but if you cut all the dead pieces off the stem part and pin the green into some soil you can probably bring it back. Just put it in a shallow tray of soil and mist daily. I've brought back a ghost plant, a jade, and a string of pearls now this way.

My biggest issue was always not watering enough so the roots dry out then rot when you water again. These things need more than you think but have to dry out between waterings is all. And when propagating like you basically are, they should stay consistently... Damp haha

you can prop succulent leaves, but that one may struggle. i'd still give it a go. that stem can for sure be saved. put both of them in a shallow tray of soil and mist regularly

I have similar leaves propping right now. The bigger group on the right is almost 2 weeks in, and the smaller group in the left was set today. Make sure the get lots of light and do NOT overwater. I misted the group in the right today and won’t mist again for at least 2 weeks, if not longer. You can see the roots starting to grow on the right. Some of the leaves with no roots were added today because I ran out of space in the left saucer. They fell off a plant my mom gave me. The pot fell over in my car when I was driving 3 hours back home (white pots). I’m a newbie to this. I just watched some YouTube videos. This is my first go around propping succulents. These grow easily, I’m told. The plants I brought home from my parents this weekend fell from a pot in my parents’ yard and started growing through rocks covering my parents’ landscaping in the front of their house! I have pics of the “droppings” my mom gifted me a few weeks ago as well (black nursery pot). That’s where the bigger leaves in the right saucer came from.
