Hi guys! I’m doing my first pothos Propogation for over a month now and I just have this shoot coming out. Is this another leaf forming? I’m using water, a dash of hydrogen peroxide and Propogation drops I got on Amazon. I’m so confused on what I’m doing wrong in getting no roots forming. This is the same type of shoot I have on my other leaves as well. Please any help is appreciated!!

With propagating pothos you want to makesure after you have the cutting to let it sit out for a couple of hours before putting into water, this helps with forming a callus to prevent rot. 6 hours i find is good but you can for abit longer. Once that is done, you can now place the cutting into (Glass) vase/jar etc and fresh water then some good bright light 😊. For pothos you dont really need anything else in the water! They actually help stimulate more roots when placed with other plants in water too! They will grow roots like crazy if done this way. (That i have found anyway) but yes that is a new growth coming in. Try to keep that part above water and the node submerged in the water. I find wide glass jars at the bottom with tiny tops work best to keep the stem snug up there while the bottom hangs, just need to fill the glass higher :)

Agree with Jj and as a plan b…. When I’ve had stubborn ones I pop them in soil and suddenly they take off. Some just wanna go straight to hitting the pot (dumb play on words inserted for fellow planty peeps that went through a stoner phase lol)

Ok I can try the soil way! I just am unsure on how often I water the soil! Is it consistent moist or let top dry out then rewater

So since it was in water, if you put it in soil which is a great idea to try! Keep it moist ish because its use to the water but dont keep it wet. Bottom watering will help with avoiding the top to get too wet. Use some good airy soil so that the water doesnt just sit as well to help incase overwatering!
