Welp, I accidentally rotted my taco leaf plant 😭😭 I’m wondering if this can be saved by propagating? Do they grow whole plants from the leaves like other peperomias, or do I need a stem cutting? Can they root in water, or should I put cuttings directly in cactus soil?? Thanks all!

😭 Are just the roots rotted? Or up into the stems? You can remove all the rotted roots and spray with diluted peroxide, then replant. Otherwise cut away all the mushy, and see what you're left with. Take off a few bottom leaves, and prop that.

mine looked a lot like yours earlier this year. i saved it by cutting off the top of the stems, since the tops were still fine. i replanted the stems in regular soil, and tossed the rest. they came right back to life! i was really pleasantly surprised by how easy of a save it was.
