I’m so happy!!! I wasn’t sure if those little leaves would live but they are thriving and have even given me some new little leaves!! Now I just need to know how and when to get them in some soil. Any advice on how to get them to successfully root in soil and when to get them in solid would be very much appreciated. I’ve never done a propagation before.

Looks pretty close to being able to put into soil! Maybe another week or so. Some people recommend waiting until propagation roots are super long but I think this just makes it more difficult for the roots to transition from water to soil. I recommend mixing in some orchid bark to their soil because they’re epiphytes (they grow on trees) in the wild so they love a bit more of an airy soil. They’re tropical cacti so they love higher humidity and a bit more frequent watering, but they don’t like sitting in water for long periods of time.

Can I use this method with Fernleaf cactus cuttings?
