Is this a node or a root? (Paraiso verde cutting). I didn’t know when I cut this that you need a node to propagate. It’s grown a ton of roots but I just learned about zombie leaves. But this kind of looks like a node, and it’s right under another cutting. Thanks y’all!

It looks like a node based on where it is on the old stem, but if it has been in contact with the soil it may be pushing a root. Nodes can push roots or leaves depending if they have contact with air/soil/water. I’m guessing you have a zombie leaf judging by the actual number of roots visible in the soil without any additional new growth on the plant. But I will be honest…not ever having dealt with a zombie leaf I may not be your best source for info. 😉

It’s a new leaf coming out. Soon you will have a new plant.
