They propagate by leaf cuttings. Cut stem and leaf and plant. I’ve also seen some people cut half a leaf and plant. I personally have not had success with half a leaf, but have had a few start with the leaf and stem. I out them in a sealed container with sphagnum moss to root.

If you’re scared it won’t go well, you can always try rooting hormones, there’s powders and liquids available that plenty of people claim works for them. I’m sure you’ll have an easy time with a pepperomia though, the one I have didn’t have any roots at all when I bought it, just some loose plant beautifully and meticulously clumped into a pot. When I went to repot it one day because I noticed the soil was always too moist I discovered the lack of roots, but just from watering the loose leaves they’ve slowly created a net of roots keeping them together as a new plant. I’m testing out some rooting hormones on an alocasia to see if it’s possible to propagate a more difficult plant with no stem at all. Pepperomia can root from individual leaves unlike some plants that need actual stem material.
