Not sure if it will work with string of turtles, but with the string of hearts since they have nodes in between each pairs of leaves you can ā€œbutterfly cutā€ them (cut each node with two leaves on each side) and shove them into soil. I placed a bowl over mine to keep the humidity higher. I’m sure if you google propagating string of hearts butterfly method a better video tutorial will pop up lol, I saw it on insta first and decided to try it!

That’s so aesthetically pleasing! It looks like a little fairy forest in a magic bowl ā˜ŗļø

IKR! I made the bowl in my HS ceramics class last semester with the intention of putting string of hearts in it. Thats why there’s a cut out on the side with divots so I can have them all pour out one side like a waterfall eventually!!!

I love it!! My partner went to school for ceramics. I keep strongly suggesting that I would like him to make me some plant pottery hehe. Do you happen to know the name of that glaze by chance? It’s gorgeous

Ugh I don’t remember off the top of my head and unfortunately I don’t have her class rn. But I’ll definitely look next time I end up in her classroom, I always end up wandering down there lol

I’ve never seen that before! Totally trying with my string of hearts propagation. Now I don’t have to wait too long to cut it

Was this difficult? I want to try this with mine but I've never propagated anything before

Honestly no I just butterfly cut them, made sure the node was touching soil. Soaked it and then covered it with a glass bowl (for humidity) it’s been about 2-3 months since Ive started to get to this point but it’s also been winter in my area. I moved them under a grow light which seemed to help too
