I've been trying in water with no luck. Maybe I'll give soil a go.

They've been in water for about 3 weeks. No roots, but they're still alive.

  I didn’t leave them in water to root I left them in there for a bigger success rate now you can just put it in dirt and water about once every 2 weeks for the baby plant
