Planty

Assistant Gardner is a 4 yo and we had an accident - monstera leaf came off right at where it joins the stem. Any way to salvage this or is it a lost cause?

    Is there an aerial root?

There’s nothing, pretty abrupt snap off at the stem

I agree with Greenleaf it will unfortunately die.

If there is no node or root then unfortunately its a lost cause :( It may grow a few roots to sustain itself for a little while (though I’ve never heard that works with Monstera’s). But it will not put out new growth, and will more than likely just rot. Sorry!

Thank you both, that’s what I thought

Hi I don’t want to give you unnecessary hope, because it’s a big likelihood it will die, but I had a leaf come off one of my plants with no node to speak of, and it somehow is producing leaves right now. My suggestion is always try! Plant it, don’t give it a lot of hope, but stick with it until it grows or dies! Of course, up to you, but you never know
