How do you propagate string of pearls? I have a string of pearls that is mostly dead with one strip of pretty pearls left. I want to try to propagate this section. I have tried before in just water but it did not work. How have yall propagate these???

I think I just buried one end of it in dirt and watered it but I also have a picture of the strand just sitting on top of the dirt if you click on my balcony to see the string of pearls I have.

I usually take a bunch of cuttings lay them on top of a thin layer of soil in a shallow tray and cover with cling wrap to hold in moisture. Then I stick them in a sunny spot or under a grow light. In a couple of weeks, after I see good root growth, I move them to individual pots. I’ve propagated probably close to 50 of string of pearls plants like this.

I put them on top of the planting media. Lightly pushing them on the soil. I mist them every day. I took a while, but it's sending out new strings. That's what worked for me. I don't know if it's the suggested way or not.

String of anything likes partial sun on the top of the pot. That's the best tip I can give you.
