Hi guys! I got this pothos variant probably a couple months ago with the one leaf. I'm wondering if it would start growing new leaves if i put it in water? All my other pothos(golden pothos) are growing super fast and doing well. Just wondering if propagating in water would help this lil guy grow more leaves :)

Hey! I might be wrong but im not 100% sure thats a n’joy, looks more like an albo type thing to me, ive never seen anything like it before, heres a pic of some albo pothos’

N joy tend to have smaller compact leaves and blocky variegation on the edges, and pearls n’ jade (also similar) are also pretty compact

Also, sorry i got distracted by figuring out what it could be, its so gorgeous!! I think if it has a node, then water usually works a lot easier for plants to propogate (in my experience)

      Yes it’s an N’Joy

I have never seen one with that long of a leaf? Aswell, minty type variegation ive never seen on an n joy in full chunks like that

I’m with jay on this, that’s not a pothos. There is a node on the plant. I’d recommend with placing the steam in water or putting the dirt a little higher up so the nodes is covered

It is a pothos. I own one. Just with the one leaf makes it look different. But it’s an N’Joy.

I had a cebu blue cutting for MONTHS that didn’t grow any new leaves until I put him under a grow light. Since then (December), he has a second full leaf, and is working on a third! So my suggestion is, leave her in soil, but add more light.

i wouldn’t recommend switching media as it can stress the plant. give it more light and time as it’s likely working on roots right now, and eventually it will grow leaves

also, i think this isn’t a pothos (epipremnum aureum) but rather epipremnum pinnatum or king pothos

It looks like it has a nice root now! Yay. Now you can out it in soil. Make sure you have good draining soI like mix in some perlite and spectrum moss. Keep your soil moist but never wet. Put It it somewhere in a window where it gets plenty of sun light but not in the direct sun like setting outside. Good luck ❤️ keep us posted on your baby

Looks like a philodendron? I have N’joy and doesn’t look like that.
