This is my patio Desert Rose. Her top is getting top heavy and wobbly. Is it normal to prune a Desert Rose by chopping its top, and can I propagate it? She’s pictured below, drinking from the tub right now.

    Yes, you can chop it and it’ll grow a branch or two. I think you should be able to propagate the top, but I have not had success with that.

      Thanks! Should I do anything to the top (after I cut) to help it not rot or anything weird?

      I applied cinnamon on mine and let them be. With time, where I made the cuts just looks like there is a big black mole on them. There’s a lady on YouTube who applies wood glue to the tops and that seems to work for her. I have not tried that yet.
