Since I couldn’t find a group specifically for people with Wandering Jews and I noticed someone on here propagating them I am hoping maybe we could help each other out. I got this wandering you from Lowes in their “ almost dead rack” otherwise known as clearance rack, I brought it home and then I also bought some cuttings of the purple colored one. I have been propagating it in straight water from our zero water filter and it works well. The one thing I have noticed is it seems that the branches are very thin and weak. Anyone know what would cause that? Right now it’s winter here in Northeast PA so I do have a small LED plant light on it and it seems to be helping but I’m not sure it’s big enough to cover the whole plant. I have a bigger ring one on order and will be here by February 2. Any ideas any help and if this isn’t the right group which one should I be in for owners of Wandering Jews. BTW: I was really happy to see this plant referred to as a Wandering Jew as it was its original name. Not sure why they changed it to Wandering Dude. As a Messianic Jew myself, I have no problem with the plant being called that (Wandering Jew) as us Jews have been wandering for a while, so it is a very well named plant.🙂

It looks reasonably healthy, but more light should help it. I, too, think the attempt at a name change is ridiculous

Maybe the 6” ring will help, though once the sun comes back we’ll have plenty of light! Can’t wait for winter to end.

Wow that’s a very good looking plant! My mom has a purple and white Wandering Jew. I’m glad you approve of the name!

Now I want this plant just for the name sake.

If you don’t find one by the time weather get warm enough to ship from the east coast (usually mid April) hit me up and I’ll send you a few rooted pieces

I love the name too. I’m a Gentile since I’m only part Jewish but love it for my Jewish background. Why do we try to erase history?

Not sure but with people like us that will continue using its original name even when people want to change it…. The name and history of our people will live on.

I'm growing one a well ( and didn't know that they are trying to change it's name.🙄 mine came from an Aldis grocery store and was growing in a large raised bed over the summer. I dig it up rather late and it had a rough start but I too started some in water and have recently planted them in the pot I had moved the mother plant. Yours looks much healthier! I believe this one will pull through and thrive though@

It had done so well. I actually have 2 pants going from those states and few new ones back in the raised bed.

Love the auto correct. Anyways I'm pleased at how well it revived.
