Alright ladies and gents…. Please give me your suggestions for my new baby hoya krimson queen. She came in the mail looking a little rough. This is my first time buying a prop (I usually prop them myself), so I’m open to ideas!

Don’t use standard potting soil especially if it has peat moss. Hoyas like a chunky potting mix with coconut husk and perlite. Others mix in orchid bark, charcoal bits and timed release fertilizer.

She came in potting soil 🥲 I have no idea what her roots look like, I’m scared to look. Should I try to get the soil off and put her in some chunky mix or sphag moss & orchid bark mix

Definitely change the soil mix. Hoyas are epiphytes whose roots like more oxygen and no standing water since they are tree climbers.
