Received these cuttings of a Swiss cheese plant and they just seem sad. The are in water by my bay window that is north east facing. Any thoughts on how I can help them through this stage?

How long are their roots? If they’re still small then I would really suggest changing to a clear container. In general it’s significantly better for hydro plants to be in a clear container

Oh I had no idea. They haven’t really established any roots yet. They are in a clear container inside the plastic hanging container. Is the light reaching in helpful?

If they haven’t established roots yet then they pretty much need to be in a clear one if you can manage it. The light is currently reaching the leaves and inside from the top, but especially with a more north facing window and with how the plants are doing, it seems like not enough to me. Theres a chance if you get a root fertilizer or something similar (and water it down) it could still survive but if possible definitely just have them in the clear container. I hope you have good luck! With props this long losing leaves will probably be normal, as it needs to focus all its energy on roots, but with that clear container it will be really easy to check on root development and make sure it won’t get rot!

Thank you! I just put it in this taller vase. Hopefully this will help it to start feeling a bit better and feeling happy again. 💚

The leaves being together like that will also be helpful I’m sure, it looks very pretty! 🥰💚 if you keep it in bright indirect light, keep an eye out for root rot, and give it lots of love, I’m sure it’ll be great! Lots of luck!

Aw I will try this. He’s still trying to establish roots. He is in water now. Maybe he needs more encouragement through talking 💚💚💚

Since the cuttings don't have any roots, I would suggest you cut them down to the nodes so the cuttings are smaller. The reason is similar to the others responses, the plant is focused on growing both roots and leaves so it's going to take longer. Whereas if the cutting is smaller, it only has to focus on growing roots. Also I use prop drops for my props and I find it helpful in speeding up the process.

Thank you! I will probably need to do this. It seems like it’s expending energy it doesn’t really have too much of. That roots would normally provide. Thank you!!

If you cut them down, though, you can stick them in the water and propagate those and have multiple plants

Cut them down and separated them into 4 vessels. I ordered some prop drops on Amazon they should be arriving on Saturday. I’m looking forward to this reviving my cute little baby cuttings. 🙏🏼💚💚💚
