I’ve been propagating these guys (baby sun rose) for a while and I finally got some root growth! The only issue is now the glass is green and covered in algae/slime? I swear this happened overnight but the new root growth makes me think it’s somehow beneficial? I don’t mind the green, but is this something I should worry about and clean? Or can it stay this way and still be healthy for my babies? Thanks for any help!

Keep an eye on it. I’m pretty sure it can lead to root rot if left unchecked long enough.

It's OK to leave it in green water for a little while but normally you should change the water every week or so or untill the algae is terrible.

Couple of drops of peroxide in your water will help when you change it!! 🥰

I don’t have peroxide but I heard vodka works too 😬 do you know anything about that??

having the propagation in direct sunlight leads to more algae growth. maybe put it in less direct light, if that sounds like it could be causing it (:

I say change the water and glass so that the plants don’t get sick and wait maybe a week longer before planting them
