So this is my Pothos Nug Nug, he was my first plant and I love him very much. We have gone through a journey and after a year of learning this is what my boy looks like. Why I’m posting is cause I know Nug needs a good cutting but I’m just so sad to do so. I’m also not sure how to handle it and was looking for some advice on the best way to prop this bad boy cause I would be devastated to lose him after all this work!

chop between nodes. you can identify nodes by either where the leaves connect to the stem, or a distinct bump that forms a circle around the stem. i recommend at least two nodes per cutting for maximum success. let it dry for at least 3-4 hours, i personally wait overnight or a day, and put them in a glass of water with a splash (i mean a SPLASH! not too much) 3% hydrogen peroxide to prevent rot. change water whenever you see it get cloudy or otherwise gross. they can return to soil once the roots are at least 2-3 inches long, or once they have secondary roots. happy propping ☺️ !

Agree with plantgeek. Just wanted to say don’t be scared to chop pothos! I chop mine all the time and they come back even stronger so quick!
