My African Violet propagation sprouted! I took five leaves from the momma plant when she was looking less than healthy in case she didn’t make it, and this is the only one that’s sprouted so far. I had to give up on three, but I’m happy because this is my first time propping African Violets! This prop is about 2.5 months old. The momma plant is super healthy now too 🤍🥳

Me too! So I just used a sterile knife (I heated it with a lighter for a few seconds then let it cool) and cut the stem close to the base of the plant. Then, I cut the stem at a 45-degree angle for more surface area and just stuck it in soil. I don’t have any rooting powder but if you do, I’m sure dipping the ends in that would help. This one took about 1.5 months to put out roots, and it just started sprouting after about 2.5. Good luck! Propping is so fun!

Congratulations! I need to do this on my Lowe’s saved violet. Had to remove all flowers and can’t wait to see what color they are.
