Propagating monkey masks! They’ve been in water for about 2 weeks now and are starting to grow. I’m questioning my medium as I know the roots will be very weak when I put it in soil. What’s a good medium to use inbetween water and soil? I heard leca is good?

it looks like you have rot. these cuttings are NOT ready for soil at all. you need roots to be at least 3inches long with secondary roots present or at least forming. anything less is begging for more rot

Gotcha! Sorry I don’t know what I’m doing. Do you recommend a different medium? And do you have any tips for me besides trimming those?

not upset! caps just for emphasis lol. i'm actually dealing with the same thing with my own adansonii. for single node cuttings i prefer sphagnum but if you have a leaf on it water should be able to do the trick. trim those roots all the way back, they'll just keep rotting. change the water frequently, i change mine every 3 days to keep it oxygenated
