Hey Planta! Can anyone tell me what those white fuzz rings are? These are golden pothos props and I’ve been super excited to plant them, but this worries me. Please tell me it’s not mold.

    It looks like mealy bugs to me? I could be wrong but that is my guess. I would wipe it off and dab the area with diluted isopropyl alcohol.

      That’s what we thought too and treated them, I then looked it up and it’s tissue that shouldn’t be removed… oops

    Those are proto roots! Good sign of lots of growth to come 👍🏻

      I wish I knew this earlier lol, I thought it was mealy bugs and removed them… did this ruin my props?

      Hmm not sure. I would just keep doing what you were doing and see if they grow back. Good luck 😉
