How long does it usually take for pothos cuttings to root in water?
Depends on the conditions. They start putting out roots pretty quickly (about a week or so). For me, it takes 3-4 months for my cuttings to grow enough roots that I can plant them in soil. It might be faster if you put them under grow lights, fertilize the water, add rooting hormone, etc. I don’t bother with any of that though.

1 likeThey usually have roots 2 inches long in about 3 weeks from my experience. They can be planted in soil at that time while keeping the soil evenly moist and the cutting in indirect light. I use SuperThrive with weekly water changes. I use rooting hormone powder before putting the cutting in soil.
