What do I do with her? I accidentally broke this part off the main plant a few weeks ago. She’s doing well in the water and she’s quickly growing new roots. Do I add her back to the main plant? Put her into a new pot? Or leave her in the water a while longer?
I’m not a propagating expert- haven’t got any plants out of water yet - but I think you should leave a bit longer in water for the roots to grow a bit longer.
1 likeAnd then I would probably pot it separately as it might take a while for the cutting to adjust back to being in soil. Idk if that would have any affects on the main plant

Syngoniums are very sturdy plants. No need to be delicate with them. They are ready to plant now. Plant them back with the mother plant if there is room and you want a bushier plant. Plant them separately or as a group (group recommended) in another pot if you want another potted plant. You can’t have too many arrowheads!🪴
2 likes Thank you! The mother plant looks a little skimpy right now. Will she get bushy again? I have had trouble growing her but she seems happier with more light and moderate water - not too wet, not too dry.

0 likes She’s in a plastic pot inside this ceramic pot. She has a bit of a chunky soil mix. I’m using a grow light now.
She doesn’t look bad. Just a little dry in spots. I would add more cuttings to the pot to fill it out. Syngoniums are vines. So they don’t usually get bushy. The bushier ones are sold with 10 or more plants in a pot. Their roots compete for water an nutrients and will put out growth and aerial roots to find them. Plastic pots are fine. The soil should dry out in 3 to 5 days in a pot that size.
