looks fine, just change the water out once in awhile to keep it clean

Looks like a succulent maybe a jade plant, I’ve never had good luck with just water propagation but you should be fine as long as you change the water weekly. I usually propagate Jade by leaving cuttings for a few days to callous over, then set them in a container with with wet soil, if I want to speed it up I also cover the top so it gets hotter, and of course make sure it gets lots of light

can i use sphagnum moss instead of soil?

I’ve never done it, but I think that would work great and it would keep the humidity

It looks great! You can also pull a little leaf off and stick that in the water. There is a picture of one ready to be potted at the top of this thread. Then where you cut off the leaf will grow new babes too.

Looks good, the way that the container is shaped might make it hard to get out when it’s grown lots of roots
