I’ve been propagating several plants in water, and for the most part they’ve been doing fine, but recently several have started rotting at the root tips. Why is this happening? I change out water fairly often.

They might be ready to switch to soil, when I was water propagating my string of hearts once the roots got to a certain length like an inch it didn’t like being in the water anymore the leaves were getting swishy but when I moved to soil was very happy leaves got firm again and continued to grow.

Do you know if there’s anything that can be done to help if you want to keep growing them in water?

I’m not sure I believe some plants do better or equally well in water where as others prefer soil - spider plants can be left in water
