Hi alll! All my plants are baby’s I’ve made from other plants. The one I’m trying to do at the moment I’m a tad confused about and was wondering if anyone had any advice. There’s not much to see but I’ll attach a photo anyway and update if anything changes but it’s a string of hearts propagation I’ve done it with a stem cutting before and worked fine despite a few hiccups now and then but I took something from a different string of plants to try propagate however I’m not sure if what I took was seed pods or root pods the internet isn’t really helping so far… either way I plopped them in shallow soil in hopes something happens.

Is it possible that I’m seeing roots on the paler part of the stem?

Up near the leaves… maybe aerial roots?

I was wondering that but couldn’t fully identify if that was just stringy bits from the soil or actual growth, it’s been in soil in another pot for about a week and leaves still looked healthy so I decided to repot where they can access sunlight better.

The roots will come from the leaf node, how you have it planted in the soil should be fine for rooting it! It will likely put out a string and roots from that node eventually. You can put a plastic bag over it to increase humidity while it roots, this often speeds things up! Just make sure to air it out regularly so it doesn’t rot. Good luck!
