I got these broken off satin pothos pieces from the floor of Home Depot today (they told me I could take them, and I did purchase other plants lol). They already appear to have roots though that look dead. Will I be able to propagate these, or do I need to trim off any dead pieces and try to prop with a different node?

If I were you I would clip off the dead part until right below the next node

I like to propagate these in water when this happens

That’s what I did. Trimmed off the brown/dead roots, chopped it up into smaller bits and put them in water. We’ll see what happens! At least there’s a good 6-7 of them now so even if some fail, odds are at least one or two will grow more roots!

I snagged two different trailing plant clippings off the floor at Lowe’s yesterday 😋 I’m anxiously waiting to see if they root!🤞🏼
