    Hi! I don’t have much experience with succulents but I DO want to tell you that some just take a bit more time than others, so don’t be discouraged if you don’t see any growth just yet!

      I’m hoping can set it and forget it but knowing my plant excitement I’ll be staring at it at least 3x a day 😝.

    aloe will not propagate from leaf cuttings, you need an entire stem

      Ooh good to know, I’ll take the aloe out! It fell off a bigger plant so I wanted to give it a go.

  4. Plant Lives Matter

    Generally, when propagating from leaves, I’ll keep the leaf out of soil until I start seeing substantial roots, then I plant in small planter and water thoroughly. I’ve read some people let the leaf completely shrivel up before they pot up, but I haven’t waited that long. Just be sure to use quick draining succulent soil and get the baby lots of sun and you should be good. Also keep in mind not all succulents can propagate from leaves. Cotyledon is one of those, at least for me it was.

    I lay my leaves flat and bury the stems. Seems to work well for me
