Cinnamon, honey, or a mix on Amazon helps to add to the water

What’re you trying to propagate? And how?

I propagate my pothos frequently. I always cut a vine with a few nodes, take off the lowest leaves, and put it in water. I change the water as I remember to or as it looks yucky. I’ve never had that fail!

Are you including a node? Many plants need nodes in the water to propagate!

Find a plant shop where the folks look friendly (and hopefully are knowledgeable). My partner recently ducted into a local plant shop. This is downtown chicago so nothing too uncommon. He was looking for a diffenbacia (sp?) and the shop attendants helped him find the right size plant to meet his goals, gave him some helpful tips. They exchanged methods so he had a couple things to try. And they gave us a bit of education about the plant. (I enjoy getting information from people— so this my idea of a fun first step). Then I’d come see what you guys said, lol. I didn’t read. But I’m sure it’s great stuff! -flying_lemu
