First time propagating alocasia corms - when should I pot them in soil? I rooted them in vermiculite and perlite and the roots seems nicely developed, and they’ve started to push out some foliage! I don’t want to shock them too soon but they definitely need to get into a vessel with drainage. Anyone know when the right time to plant them is?

  1. Lotus biscuits

Try transplanting them to a draining pot about the same size of the jar to prevent shock.

I try to wait until they have secondary roots to pot up in soil. I like to pot Alocasia in a mix that’s slightly less chunky than what I use for philodendron so that I only have to water once every 5-6 days.

Ok thank you! I’ll keep them in their jar until they sprout another shoot :)
