Hello, does anyone have any advice on how to propagate this Monstera Deliciosa? I have put it in water already, but are there any other steps I can take to prevent any problems like rotting?

You don’t want a ton of extra stem around the node. Only about a 1/4 inch on either side of the node. These guys look a little long to me. If you really want to make sure it’s good you can dry them off and dip the ends in a bit of melted wax. I use an unscented tea light candle but whatever candles you have will work.

make sure you let the cutting dry for overnight before you place them in water, that’s what usually prevents rot. I am propagating a cutting of this plant successfully for the first time & in dipped it in take root before placing it in a vase, the roots have been developing well!

I know a lot of people will say to let it dry before putting it in water, but I never have and have never had an issue, maybe I just got lucky everytime! But drying it out also helps prevent rot, but you don’t need to. Usually when I put my cuttings in water I don’t change the water for 2 weeks and every one of my propagations have been successful, good luck!!
