Hey guys! One of my co-workers gave me a piece of Christmas cactus (or Easter or Thanksgiving idk) that fell off of her plant, and I want to try and propogate it. Any thoughts on what would be the best way? Water, soil, etc.

put it in soil and keep it moist. Also make smaller cutting from that piece, You definitely have plenty to increase you chances of propagation

I used regular potting soil for this one, Only because that’s what I had at the moment. But a well draining soil would be better
1 likeYou can also use water if you havent got any soil ready. I’ve propagated tons of cuttings from this plant in water - just placed the cuttings in a small glass or shot glass and filling up to about 1cm or 1/2inch or so of water. Just make sure you change the water weekly
