Jade leaf journey! Lost one it seems…round 2 next door! Think that back leaf has something going, but not above soil yet. Any tips to help these along? The are in a clear zip lock most of the time. Misted daily at least…

It feels like propagating jade takes fooooorever. I have some propagating only because I accidentally bumped some leaves off of my jade plant and it’s like a set it and forget it situation with them. These are probably like a year old or something. To be fair they’re not in the correct amount of light so that could contribute to how long it’s taking.

A year?! Definitely could use some more light, would help!

I don’t like this plant and I don’t have adequate light for it but my kid gave it to me so I’m obligated to keep it alive.

i think your soil is too moist. maybe keep it not to wet or it will rot the leaf. 🙏🌱

Hi Mikel 👋 Agreeing w/MyLittleBotanist here. Too much moisture. I’d dial back the misting significantly! Your props will rot before they can sprout roots and establish. That said it does take AWHILE even in good light. Meet Mochi. Started tracking first wk of March, that’s her here. Will show a pretty timeline progression of how she developed and when, which has been pretty standard for my props:

For more context, found her first pic! Bottom right. Leaf fell off mama in early JANUARY - there was still snow on the ground!! So yes, patience and less moisture. Good luck!
