Thought I would post to encourage people in their plant recovery journeys! 🌱🌸✨ Long story short, I’m a medical science student at uni (premed), and my poor plants have had zero attention. My orchid was neglected and severely dehydrated, it now has all the dead roots removed and placed in a DIY humidity chamber for rehydrating (I did my best 😅). My callisia desperately needed repropagating (brown and crispy at the roots, leggy growth), it’s looking much happier now (I did this a couple of weeks back). Mum’s beautiful prayer plant was massacred by our cat (he’s fine, he snuck into her room when she wasn’t looking a few months back). We’ve been procrastinating taking care of the plant, but I decided to foster it today to give it some TLC. I’ve pruned back all the dying leaves, watered and placed under a grow light (away from open windows / drafts like it was before). I also have some succulent cuttings air drying (the parent plant had a fungal infection) and a tiny string of pearls propagation in a mini Nutella jar. My pink syngonium is brand new today from a supermarket. It’s had some transit shock and I imagine it’s not had a lot of light. I’ve placed it with other plants, checked the soil (it’s damp) and I’m going to let it sit for a few days and see how it goes! Any tips or advice would be absolutely welcomed and appreciated! I recently got a dieffenbachia and he was doing ok for the first week home but when I came home today he was looking like this can someone help me identify the problem I have him outside in a half shade half light and I water him when the soil is almost fully dry

🌱 🪴 😢 Its been about a year of trying to save this rescue baby. I am not sure what is left to try. Any spider plant expert advice? It continues to get black tips. I started to bottom water about 1 month ago. I am worried its the temperature in the house. We have window units and so it fluctuates greatly every day w humidity changes.

This aloe plant started wilting a couple months ago and I'm not sure what to do about it. It is in a southern facing window and gets good light all day, and I water it every other week when it gets super dry. Any tips would be appreciated!

Can this staghorn be saved. If so, what do I do with it? I've always wanted one so my partner found someone throwing this one away. He delivered it to me... ants and all!

My corn plant is having a baby! I got this plant a few months ago from my grandma, and chopped it to propagate (which I haven’t had very much luck with). I wasn’t sure if the main part was going to make it, but when I was watering it, I noticed that it had at least three little pups growing from it! I’m hoping that this means it’ll recover, and I’ll have a healthy corn plant.

£3.00 Clearance Rescue! 🎉 Just saved this Monstera adansonii from the clearance shelf for only three quid! The soil was super dense and waterlogged, but luckily the root system is still completely healthy. I split the plant, upgraded the mix to a chunky Monstera soil, and staked them onto a pole. I also took a couple of cuttings to prop in water. Can’t wait to see this turn into a lush, bushy pole climber!

Any chance of saving my Kumquat tree start? It was doing fine for a couple of years and suddenly turned dry and crispy after a single “Planta” recommended watering. Any chance or is it too late to save? I’ve read that soggy soil can cause drought like conditions in plants, so I just changed out the soil. The roots all looked ok and I didn’t see any rot or damage.

No edits, just the bare truth that I may have killed this one! I think I’ll try the plant dr. part of this app for the first time with this one! Any help is appreciated! This happened so quickly after one of the first waterings since getting him!

I had to cut my ponytail palm back completely during a battle with thrips last summer. A year later, it’s doing better, but I keep having leaf breakage at the base of the sprouts and mid-leaf. Is it a watering issue? Humidity? Fertilizer? It’s in a NE facing window, only gets 1-2 hours direct sunlight in the morning. Was fertilized a couple of months ago.

This is my desert rose plant. I’ve had it for over 2 1/2 years. It has definitely gone through some trials. When I got it, it had aphids. I got rid of those, it has never bloomed. It looked better than this picture before, I gave it to my husband to take to work and it just looks sickly. This is my third attempt to see if someone can help me with my plant. Can I cut it back or do I just leave it and see what happens? I wanna bring it back to life hopefully to get it to bloom. What do you suggest?
