my aloe back in august compared to today in march. i got it from a neighbor who had too many. we got a really bad storm that dropped multiple inches of rain and drowned my aloe. i repotted it, cut off almost all of its leaves and now its doing so well, even though i was really worried
I have some California Wonder Bell Peppers and Habaneros and they’re about 2 inches tall, but I recently added a fan within the past 2 days and now there’s about 3 that fell over! Do I need to turn off the fan or do something else to make them stand back up?! Help me! I’m still learning!
Hi, we are in recovery over here (hopefully) This is my ace of hearts plant, I was gifted this guy. I believe it’s called an oilcloth plant. I repotted him because his roots were sticking out in the old planter (as you can see they still are?) anyway, it was blooming when I got it and now it’s very unhappy. I also changed locations from close to the window to 3 ft very recently because there was hot air blowing on it from my forced air heat in my house. Please help any advice would help.
Poorly Chinese evergreen - advice please! I probably should have come to this group sooner but my Chinese evergreen is rather poorly and losing leaves. I have a tendency to overwater so have been following the Planta guidance for a few weeks but it’s still not looking good. I’m thinking this is possibly root rot - I’ve seen some people cut off the rotten parts and try to revive this in water until it regrows roots - what do you advise?

Any tips for my monstera? Was going great guns but recently growth has really slowed and some leaves have curled. Soil is a good mix (I think), drainage holes and definitely not over watered. Wondering if light is the issue? Or I have repotted too large? Green pot older photo.

This jasmine has been rehabbing super nicely from the 'rescue bin' at the plant store. Does anyone else keep these species? I've been trying to keep it a bit damp because it's leaves kept crimping. So far it seems to be working well.
Has anyone used sand or pebbles to prevent fungus gnats? While using Neem oil and insecticide has decreased the amount, they are still lingering. What plants have you topped? Which plants would you not recommend to top? Any help/advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! 🪴
Here is a before and after.. the first one immediately after being spirit and repotted on Monday and this is today. I don’t know what do … does it need more water? The other part of the plant is upstairs and not flat like this. This one is downstairs in my basement near a window. I am going to move her upstairs... any other thoughts?
One of my snake plant leaves has recently started to turn yellow does anyone know why that could be? I just recently watered it and it seems to be fairly happy and growing new leaves. Any suggestions or tips would be very helpful. Just trying to keep this guy alive

Hi friends! First post on here. My poor string of hearts has been through so much with me, moved three states away and back, and got through a pretty bad period of me not being able to take care of my plants. Aside from being leggy and bald, he’s doing okay. Any suggestions on what to do? I put him in chunky soil with orchid bark because he has been prone to overwatering and fungus gnats in the past. TIA!
don't give up if you "kill" a plant! keep watering it like nothing happened! there may be enough life left in it for new growth. that's what happened with my snowbush and it's pushing out more variegated leaves than ever before!
What are people's opinions on what this parlor palm needs? I've gone through lots of different options, thinking he was getting too much water then thinking it was getting too little water. I'm now wondering if it's getting too much sun, or if it needs higher humidity...
Hi all! I have a schefflera that I severely underwatered over the winter months, so all the leaves drooped, browned and started to come off. I did try and see if it would perk up with some water and fertiliser, but no luck. Roots still looked healthy though, so when I repotted into some fresh soil I took some drastic measures and chopped it, leaving around 7-8 inches of bare stem. From the quick research I did, I saw people say they were able to revive their plants by doing this. But I just thought I'd get some of your opinions... Can it be saved or is it a goner at this point? Thanks in advance!
Hello plant people! I’m just getting started with plants and only have one, but the leaves have already started getting brown and yellow at the tips. I’ve read that it could be overwatered and lack of sunlight. So I moved it to the window for indirect sunlight and will not water for a while. My question is, should I be “pruning” the bad leaves, or wait for the plant to start thriving again?
So during the summer my poor monster had been sunburned but I potted it anyways and was just hoping it would survive and well after its first attempt at getting another leaf failed finally several months later it has a new leaf. Once this leaf is fully out I am going to cut off the sunburned leaf. But I’m so excited and relieved.
I feel like all my plants are suddenly dying or looking really sad despite no changes to their care. I'm holding out hope that spring will help them to grow and thrive a bit more but I don't know why they are like this! Anyone else struggling rn?
