Hey, i need help! So i bought a Croton about two ish weeks ago. When i bought it, it was heavily root bound so i had to repot. i watered when the the soil was dry then let it dry some more before i watered yesterday (it wasn't completely bone dry). The leaves have been dropping the past few days and i'm not sure what's wrong - i'm new to this plant and know they can be a a struggle lol

Did you refresh the soil? If the soil is too dry it might’ve been hydrophobic and didn’t intake enough water. Or it might be in shock from the repot, some plants hate having their roots messed with.

i did refresh the soil, i don't think it's hydrophobic the water soaks and drains nicely. i didn't think about it being in shock any recommendations? 😅

Okay doesn’t sound hydrophobic then. If it’s above 80f there it might be too hot? They like a good amount of humidity like 60%. I read that crotons also don’t like direct hot sun when outside they do better in shady areas so if it’s too hot or the sun is too direct it’ll look sad
