My pilea peperomiodes (Chinese Money Plant) is developing yellow blotches as shown. No evidence of pests. It’s still sending out new leaves, and some new leaves are starting to discolour, but not all of them. The interwebs has suggested it could be basically anything (over/under-watering, nutrient deficiency, light or humidity, temperature etc). The plant has not been moved, it’s living under a grow light in my living room and is not near a heater or AC. Any ideas on what is causing this?

    It looks to me like chemical or mineral burns. Either chemicals or salts in the water, or too much fertilizer in the soil. Most plants can go years in infertile soil before showing negative signs. I recommend only fertilizing plants every 3-6 months (unless they're a crop of some sort). For chemicals in water, let water sit overnight to allow chemicals to gas off. For mineral build up in soil or too high minerals in water, water with pure water (distilled, RO, or rain), and really flush the soil when you water.

    RO is Reverse Osmosis. It's another method to purify water
