Iā€™m a new plant owner, my prayer plant is not doing so well. What is this all over her? Can she be saved? TIA

    That's a scale infestation

      I googled it, they are mealy bugsā€¦the little white bugs I got off the plant look identical to the pics of the mealy bugs. I took alcohol/water mixture and a small paint brush and wiped all the leaves/stems/crevicesā€¦.going to keep an eye on it and will do it again in a week or so

      Nice, well, not nice. I couldn't tell 100% from the pic. And mealy are known as Pseudo scale bugs. But you usually treat the same. You can also use a systemic to help kill them off too.

      Not doing so well, doesnā€™t have any bugs anymore but I canā€™t seem to get her better. I did take a cutting to propagate in case she dies. Iā€™m still crossing my fingers that she makes a recovery

    Itā€™s a fussy plant. Mine is also losing all the leaves but two I took it out the soil and put it in water as last attempt to rescue. If you have a humidifier, it has helped in the past (or alternatively you can keep it in a glassed enclosed to keep the moist)
