How do I save this plant? This is my little brothers string of pearls, and Iâm not that great with plants either but it looks a little bald.. I donât know how often he waters it but it is on the windowsill so it gets a lot of sun. How can I make it look full and the pearls look plump and healthy?
i would start with a thorough watering (like i mean full plant under water for a few minutes until soil is saturday), let excess water drain. you shouldn't have to water string of pearls often, but the good thing is that the plant is pretty good at telling you its thirsty by its pearls going soft or wrinkly. watered pearls will feel firm when ligjtly squeezed and also have little translucent window slits. you could also check if it needs to be repotted or if the soil mix (light and airy w/ good drainage). theyre pretty low maintenance, they just love the sun! you can wrap the pearls hanging off the pot back into the pot on the soil to encourage fullness

I agree with Vicky and also suggest repot or soil refreshâŠSOPs have shallow roots so keep that in mind if repotting. Good luck! They are one of my absolute favorites!
