I need help with my entire collection!! I have philodendron, pothos, anthurium, alocasia, dieffenbachia, some Hoya, ficus, it’s literally everyone. I had a pipe burst 2 weeks ago and the water ruined my floors, contractors have come and ripped it all out and my greenhouses has been moved to a pod outside for about a week and a half. No electricity, no humidity, no grow lights, nothing. They are dying! I’m growing mold in the pots that had just been watered, and 1/2 the leaves on my dieffenbachia are yellowed, I’ve lost about 1/2 my 3’ rubber tree, she’s completely bald in the back, the philodendron are hanging tougher than the rest but withering, most all my alocasia are bowing and drooping, I doubt the fittonia will bounce back. And the work is ongoing with no end yet, I don’t want to lose my entire collection. Any tips for protection and recovery or should I brace myself to start culling?

    Can you leave the pod open, at least a few hours a day? Can you take them to someone? Can you run a cord out there for lights?

      Opening it up was a great idea, it’s been rainy the past several days but it’s supposed to be ok today so that will work. But I catch stretch enough cords to get power out there. Poor judgement, me thinking it would only take a couple of days. The weather kept the work from even starting while the subfloor dried. This sucks

    I agree id run a cord. Even a rechargeable light is better than nothing, too. Id water very sparingly, with plants kept in the dark, they don't guttate properly. Is there nowhere in the house you can put them? Or is it warm enough to move the greenhouses to just outside in the yard?

      Moving is a logistical problem, they are too heavy for me to move alone, it took 2 contractors to move them out to the pod. Pod is out front, down stairs and across the lawn, not enough cord to run power out there. Even empty, I couldn’t move them to the back alone yard, I just didn’t imagine it would take this long, so I let them go out there. I’m trying to plan bringing as many plants inside the house, and just set them all over the place, I’ve already brought in the worst hit and the rescues I’ve been rehabbing. I got a couple clip on lights coming from Amazon tomorrow to get me through. Trying to just wrap my head around the fact there will be losses, especially the babies that weren’t completely established.

      Oh that sucks they are so heavy. Honestly id first move any you don't want to lose, if it will be a slow process. I'm sorry you're dealing with this, on top of the already house issue.

    If there’s no power, wouldn’t there not be a difference between moving the plants to more ideal spots instead of moving everything?

    I would put a light and a fan at the entrance to the pod and leave the door open as long as you can during the day. That may help with the lack of light and help with the mold. I’m so sorry this happened to you, things like this are difficult to deal with. Sending prayers.
