I am very new to being a plant mom but I’ve have been noticing some of these tiny little flies everywhere. It seems to be coming from our pothos plant. Anyone know what they are and how to get rid of them? TIA!

    Those are fungus gnats and basically anyone with plants gets them at some point. Fungus Gnats are attracted to wet soil and large leaved plants. They multiply very easily and you shoudl get on killing them as fast as possible. First make sure to isolate your pothos and any other maybe infected plants. When I got fungus gnats the first time I only had 8 plants so I just put a plant in each room of my house to be safe. Next here is a little gnat killing supply list, yellow sticky traps (kill adult flies and you cna see when the amount of flies you have is going down or up), zeevo bug trap (kills a tone of gnats but works best in the night when it’s dark), neem oil (stay on the leaves of all your plants and it helps prevent the gnats from coming back to your plant), hydrogen proaxide (use 1/4 hydrogen peroxide and 3/4 water on you soil to kill any hiding gnat and gnat eggs.) I’ve also heard mosquito pellets work on them but I’ve never tried it. Hope this helps sorry for the long reply!

    I heard cinnamon sprinkled on the soil is also a natural pest control
