So obsessed with my polka dot begonia. I’ve had her for about 7 months and she’s gotten so big!! Only thing I can’t figure out is the crispy tips on the leaves. Any ideas on what might be causing them to brown?

Hey guys! I’ve posted a few pictures of my super leggy begonia here. It’s dropping all of its bottom leaves and working it’s way up. Question 1 would be is this normal? If not what can I do to prevent/fix this. Secondly would you guys recommend doing a chop here? As you can see there are tiny green spikes along the bare stem. Are those incoming leaves? If so I’ll leave it alone but you guys let me know what you’d recommend me to do. Thanks!

I got this at a plant swap a few weeks ago and the leaves are all sticky. i’ve read it’s bugs so i wiped it down to alcohol twice now and the sticky keeps coming back. Any ideas of how to help it? Open to all suggestions

hey all! i bought a polka dot begonia the last week and now her leaves are shriveling and turning brown :( any tips on how to help her would be much appreciated! her big leaves look okay as far as i can tell. i have a humidifier next to her and have been following a regular watering schedule. i’m not sure what’s happening!

This babe needs help!! It was so lively and full when I brought it home now it’s droopy and faded. I had it under a light and gets indirect sun in the evening. Soil isn’t too wet. It didn’t have a tag when I bought it, but is it too much light? Too big of a pot?

Back at it with the begonias 😍 hopefully they survive. Big box had them in really crappy soil and had plastic netting around the crown. I lost way too much root. My guess is I’ll loose a lot of leaves but so long as the crown survives they will live on!

Question for my maculata lovers, when it unfurls new leaves are they already relatively close to the size they will stay or will each leaf get larger as the leaf gets older. Just got my first one a week ago, saved her from Walmart with lots of new small leaves and just curious on what I’m getting.

Advice request: This little buddy has been putting out maximum effort since I adopted him last June. See: Before and After pics. However he is rather unruly and uneven in shape. Would you chop & prop? I’m also considering moving him outside for summer so he gets ample opportunity to grow. If I am to chop & prop, can middle cuts of stems be propagated? I’m thinking of the XL stem that’s flowering. We’ve come so far, I just don’t want to mess him up. 😅 Thank you for your input!

2 weeks ago vs. today??? help?? 🫢 she is truly growing like a WEED in my greenhouse cabinet, I’m so impressed. love her work! 😌🫶 (conditions are roughly 75-80 degrees F, 75-80% humidity. I also use SuperThrive Foliage Pro and Cal Mag for fertilizers!)
