Absolute stunner of a Begonia rex! Ive seen this called Black Velvet, Black Fancy or Black Mamba, but the leaves have a deep dark colour and the undersides are a very dark red! So cool

My begonia has been dropping old leaves pretty frequently for the last couple of months and Iâm starting to worry! The rest of the plant looks healthy and Iâm careful about watering but lower leaves keep turning red or yellow and then dropping off. Any suggestions?

Iâm having a hard time idâing this begonia. Anybody have any guesses? It does have a slight blue sheen on some leaves so Iâm unsure. The stems are dark maroon, the back sides of leaves as well, and when you cut them they stain your clippers with a blood ish color. Thanks so much for any help.

Hi guys. Iâm new to the begonia family. I have two cane begonias, but this one seems to be a little finicky. Itâs a KitKat begonia and I have had it for about a year. It has never been repotted, and I have noticed that everything is a little droopy, but thereâs some new growth, some older leaves, of course have brown edges. I am unsure how to propagate it and or repot it. I need all the help I can get on this one. Sorry the photos arenât great thank you for all who respond.

Can anyone identify which variety of Begonia this is? I donât think the ones Planta showed when I scanned it were correct. A coworker gave me a rooting of it before she left so I donât have a tag or any information on it. Thanks!

I got this maybe 2-3 weeks ago? I havenât repotted it yet i know I really need to because you see the droopinessâŠ. Itâs drying out so fast . What Iâm posting about is if any of you know what type it is ? Also have any of you used pon as a substrate Iâm familiar with using it for Alocasia & Iâm currently trying it on Syngonium Iâve heard they respond well too. I was wanting to try it for my begonias but wanted to ask experiences first I have lost a few plants In The beginning with my Alocasia Iâve figured it out at least for mine .

Hi! Iâm thinking about propagating my polka dot begonia by cutting it in these two places and putting the stem cuttings into soil. Iâd also thought about cutting the stems one node up, removing the bottoms leaves and propagating the stems in soil as well as the chopped leaves. Thoughts ?? Iâve never propagated begonias before đ€·đŒââïž
