Yesterday my phlox stem broke when I was moving it :( it is hanging in there, but should I cut it down completely or try to propagate it? Also, if Google tells me right this is a good spider for catching flies and other insects!

After 6 days of rain this volunteer popped up in a pot where I’m propagating Asiatic Jasmine. I had no intention on growing cucumbers but I’ll give it a go, knowing fully well that it’ll have to move. I’m assuming they are English cucumbers because this is the variety I choose to eat and I’m almost certain it came from my compost tumbler. So my question is, might any of you know if it is self pollinating, as there is just the one plant?

I cannot get enough of these perfect delphiniums. Small leaves and BIG flowers. 12 shoots emerged with the beautiful curls. Can’t wait to see them all bloom.

Can anyone please tell me what is sampling my tomatoes? More importantly how do I prevent it from destroying the other tomatoes. It’s happened multiple times now, always just as the fruit starts to turn orange/red. They are growing in a high bed and I have never seen anything bigger than an butterfly in my yard.

Ok I planted another Black Magic elephant ear Thursday. Please wish me luck. I have read that it likes moist soil but then someone told me to only water it from the bottom and barely water it in the morning. What?! That’s totally different from my regular elephant bulb that took off and looks beautiful! Huge too!

Hey plant friends . Does anyone have one of these or know if they would do well outdoors on the East coast ? Not sure if just an indoor plant ?

This year I You Tubed and cut this gig right back. Thought I’d killed it but it’s now sprouting all over the place! Including large shoot from base. I am not sure about the 2 stem thing…which if any of these shoots should I remove? Very grateful for any help :-)

So this is my first year planting cucumbers and I noticed one of the male flowers fell off and I have more male flowers that look like they’re going to bloom than female flowers. Is this normal? And what can I do to get more female flowers?

When we create living soil environments for our plants we’re also creating suitable living space for many many species of animals. We just rehabbed our front gardens by replacing the industrial dead soil they used with live healthy soil and added in microbes, nematodes and other beneficial bacteria. Before we had zero animal life…. Now we have tree frogs, toads, rabbits, deer, foxes and more song birds than I can name.

So last year I grew a cherry tomato plant and it was probably 1 and a half times bigger th this one also didn’t have what looks like 2 stems. The smaller stem also seems to be injured halfway through. Should I prune it to possibly get growth better on the main stem?

My tomato plant is worrying me! I replanted it almost 2 months ago and keep it well watered and it has great sunlight outside, but the flowers are not budding and the leaves are yellowing. Also I think I may have let my dill grow to long…. Any tips?

So I’m starting to grow kiwis from the seeds in the paper towel method. How long will it take for the seeds to sprout?
