Can I get some advice on splitting tiger lilies and hostas? I’m in zone 6. I would like thin/split the ones we have at our house- especially the lilies - and plant them at a location about 3 hours away. When is the best time to do this? How long can they be out of the ground? And anything special you’d recommend while transporting?

I’m in zone 7b and would love to try out growing wildflowers this year for cutting for indoor vases (probably zinnias). I finally have an East facing front porch but me and container planting usually don’t do too well lol (but it was tomatoes and last summer was a bad season). My question is what 1) what is your favorite material for a wildflower container? 2) should I leave the container in a sunny spot at all times (east facing)? 3) best suggested soil for wildflowers? 4) when are other 7b folks planning to start seeds outdoors? Our “last frost” date in this area can be tricky!

Hey, I am possibly going to go and landscape and plant flowers for a family whose son is dying from cancer. What are some landscape plants and preferably perennial flowers that I can plant in February in zone 8a? Also please pray for their family and his health!

I am prepping for the cold snap we’re about to get down here in zone 9 and when I raked up the old wood chips this is what I found. Is this natural decomposition and nothing to worry about or is it something I need to treat before putting down fresh pine straw? Tia.

I got these roses about two weeks ago and I’m surprised that they still look really healthy! I’m even more impressed that they have grown new stems and now I’m wondering how can I keep these alive?? Can I put them in soil? I’ve never thought about growing roses but I can’t just let them die 😭😭😭 please help!

I propagated five hydrangeas in late spring, and overall they’re growing well, though some are stronger than others. All have shown new growth and new leaves. I recently trimmed them. The plants on the left look more bare because they had more dead leaves, which I pruned. The plants on the right had fewer dead leaves and stronger leaf growth. They’re all in solo cups with good drainage (not visible), using a mix of potting soil, perlite, and a bit of coco coir. I water regularly, keep them under a grow light, and fertilize them — most recently a few days ago. My questions are: • Is it normal for leaves to drop at this stage? • What signs should I look for to confirm healthy growth? I plan to transplant them into the garden either next spring or later this summer and want to make sure they’re healthy before doing so. Any tips to help them thrive would be appreciated.

This is my giant Prime Ark Freedom Blackberry. It’s in a 15 gallon fabric pot and has been growing the longest branches. I have just been looping the growths into a never ending loop. Is this how it should be trained or does anyone have any recommendations on how to make the plant have a better structure?

Did y'all know terracotta can mold? I did not. This has been neglected in a dark, damp storage bin. If you have something similar, might want to check on your pottery!

Hi, I have been gifted a lovely prunus incisa (fuji cherry). It came in a 3l pot and is currently sat on our garden table. Should I repot this into something bigger or leave for now?! Finding it hard to get an answer and don't want to ruin it!! Thank you
